During the summer of 2020 Petersfield Youth Theatre had planned an open-air concert featuring musical theatre songs to be accompanied by a live band. This was to celebrate their 30th birthday. Their members past and present were looking forward to taking part. However, as government restrictions were not lifted sufficiently, they had to cancel the concert.
Not wanting to be defeated, they picked themselves up and in two weeks, turned it around and made a film instead.
The film, thirty awesome years features many of the songs planned for the concert, as well as interviews with present and past members and showcases some of Petersfield’s major landmarks and beautiful countryside.
The film can be accessed via the PYT website www.pyt.org.uk.
Petersfield Town Council were pleased to be able to support Petersfield Youth Theatre’s film by way of a community grant.
