Petersfield Town Council were delighted to play host to the visiting Italian exchange students, who made themselves right at home in our Council Chamber.
Two lucky students had the pleasure of meeting our Deputy Mayor Cllr George Watkinson who gave them a private tour of the Festival Hall and briefed them on the role and responsibilities of a Town Mayor.
The students who immersed themselves in the community spirit of our market town by taking up work experience posts, describe Petersfield as a pretty quiet town, where people are polite, funny and friendly.
We feel glad to have made a positive impression on these young people and hope that they might consider a return visit.
