Petersfield Town Council are delighted with the outcome of
the Festival Hall planning approval, which takes us into the period known as
RIBA 4. We are so excited that we now have the opportunity to transform
the Festival Hall into a venue where the public of Petersfield and surrounding
area can enjoy even more entertainment and events, and truly become an asset
for the greater community and its current users. In addition to this we
will be taking steps to make it an efficiently run venue, as well as achieving
significant reductions in our carbon emissions to net zero by latest
2050.
The next phase in the project known as RIBA 4 will include
decisions on final design and likely use of each space, final decisions on
various aspects of the proposal, all of which will be steered by the Council
and supported by the Public Halls Committee. One of the major elements of
the project will be to raise funds through grants and donations. Some of
the preliminary work for the project has been completed and funded.
