The Public Halls Committee provides member oversight for a number of buildings owned by the Petersfield Town Council, the largest being the Petersfield Festival Hall, Town Hall, Love Lane Pavilion and the Avenue Pavilion.

Responsibilities include the efficient and safe maintenance of the buildings, ensuring they provide good value for money  and benefit the residents of Petersfield.

Furthermore, the Public Halls Committee is responsible for seeing the strategies of the buildings are always kept up to date and reviewed.

To carry out these responsibilities, the committee is permitted to establish working parties for specific projects that report directly to the Public Halls Committee.
